Sonoran Desert










Type of Ecosystem:


It is part of the torrid zone, Desert.



Geographical Location:


It is located on Mexico between California and Arizona. And it is part of the South American deserts.


Biocenosis:


The sonoran desert includes 60 mammal species, 350 bird species, 20 amphibian species, 100 reptile species, 30 native fish species, over 1000 bee species, over 2000 plants species. But many plants not only survive the hard conditions of the sonoran desert.

Flora: includes cactus,palms,agaves,legumes and other type of plants.

Fauna: includes scorpions, spider, lizards,vulture and more types of animals.



Climates and temperatures around the years:


On deserts the temperatures all around the year are very high during daytime, because of extremely low rainfall.



Is this place threatened by humans?:


No because is very difficult to live there so no body can contaminate the area.
